Accreditation in Mendoza, Argentina
Event accreditation in Mendoza
Bringing a congress, a corporate trip or a winery event to Mendoza? PASE is the QR accreditation system of SOMOS DER, an event production company from Buenos Aires, and it works the same in Mendoza as anywhere in the country. Each attendee registers in advance on a landing page, gets a unique QR code by email, and at the door it is scanned with a phone camera, with no app to install. The system blocks double entries, prints badges on site and shows in real time how many people are in. Plans start at USD 600 per event.
A meetings city in the Andes
Mendoza is one of the strongest meetings destinations outside Buenos Aires. According to the Government of Mendoza (December 2024), the city is among the 20 cities in Latin America and the Caribbean with the most international congresses over the last decade in the ICCA ranking, and its Convention Center and the Ángel Bustelo Auditorium hosted 175 events in a year, 65 of them congresses and conferences (source, in Spanish).
Connectivity is the other half: the same source says El Plumerillo airport has more than 200 weekly flights, with about 18 a day to Buenos Aires and 16 to Santiago de Chile. A big share of a Mendoza congress arrives from other provinces and from abroad, often on the same morning.
Where events happen
- Emilio Civit Convention and Exhibition Center, in the city of Mendoza, run by the provincial tourism board (Ente Mendoza Turismo). Its main hall has 2,000 chairs, according to the official note on its reopening (in Spanish). It works as one complex with the Ángel Bustelo Auditorium. The province announced refurbishment closures for early 2025, so confirm dates directly with the venue.
- Wineries, hotels, theatres and fairgrounds. The provincial government lists hotel auditoriums, wineries, stadiums, fairgrounds and theatre style halls as part of the city's offer. PASE works the same in all of them: what changes is how many doors there are, how people arrive and how good the signal is.
What gets tricky at the door in Mendoza
Attendees who fly in. Many people come straight from the airport or a long bus trip, sometimes with no local mobile data. Send the QR days in advance, check the delivery status of each email in the dashboard and resend it to whoever did not get it. At the door, search by name solves the attendee who cannot find the code. The registration page and the QR email also work in English: the page follows the browser language, and adding ?lang=en to the link you share forces English.
Winery events. A corporate dinner or a tasting at a winery outside the city usually has a closed guest list, guests arriving by shuttle in waves and weak signal. Load the list beforehand, test the connection on site and bring backup data. Our guide on what to do if the internet drops at the door (in Spanish) covers the protocol.
Harvest season. The National Grape Harvest Festival (Fiesta Nacional de la Vendimia) takes place in early March and fills the city. If your event falls close to it, book venues, hotels and transport early.
Several days. In a two or three day congress the first morning concentrates the peak and the badge printing. With one unique QR per person the following days are faster, and the system still stops a badge from getting in twice.
How we work in Mendoza
PASE runs in the browser, so you can use it in Mendoza without us travelling: your team scans with their own phones and we give remote support. If you prefer our operators at the door (Pro plan or extras), travel and transport are added according to the destination and quoted separately, in writing.
- You define categories (attendee, speaker, sponsor, press, staff) and areas.
- You publish the registration landing; each registrant gets a unique QR code by email.
- Before the event you review the database and test the door with the phones that will be used.
- On the day, codes are scanned from the phone browser or with a reader, and badges are printed.
- At the end you get the final report and an exportable attendee database.
Which plan usually fits
Each event is quoted by attendees, access points and support. Prices are reference prices in US dollars, invoiced in Argentine pesos at the exchange rate of the day.
- Base, from USD 600 (up to 500 attendees): 1 access point, live report and remote support, no operators.
- Pro, from USD 1,500 (500 to 2,000 attendees): up to 4 access points, on site support for one day, 2 operators included and on site badge printing.
- Enterprise, quoted (more than 2,000 attendees): for large exhibitions and congresses.
Extras: additional operator from USD 100 per day and accreditation supervisor from USD 160 per day. In Mendoza, travel and transport only apply if you want our people on site. The quote arrives within 24 business hours. Full details on the pricing page.
Frequently asked questions
Does PASE work in Mendoza if SOMOS DER is based in Buenos Aires?
Yes. PASE runs in the phone browser, so it works the same in Mendoza as anywhere else. Your team scans the QR codes with their own phones and we give remote support. If you want our operators on site, travel and transport are added and quoted in writing.
Does it work for an international congress with attendees from Chile or further away?
Yes. Each attendee gets a QR code by email and shows it on the phone or printed. Before the event you see the delivery status of every email and resend the code to anyone who did not get it, and at the door staff can search by name for anyone who cannot find it.
Can I use it at a winery event?
Yes, as long as there is a connection at the door. Wineries outside the city can have weak signal, so test on site beforehand and bring backup mobile data. For a closed guest list, you load the guests and each one gets a QR code by email.
Do I need internet at the venue?
Yes. PASE validates online so every checkpoint stays in sync and nobody gets in twice. Ask the venue for a connection for the accreditation desk and bring a backup data plan.
How much does it cost?
Base from USD 600 for up to 500 attendees, Pro from USD 1,500 for 500 to 2,000 attendees and Enterprise quoted for more than 2,000. Additional operator from USD 100 per day and supervisor from USD 160. It is invoiced in Argentine pesos at the exchange rate of the day, and the quote arrives within 24 business hours.
